Most Popular Baby Names In The United States

United States, it seems that the  most of popular baby names have not changed. There will always be parents who decide to name their children after popular actors or fictional characters as Anakin after the Star Wars character, but more traditional names remain the most popular.

Jacob is currently the most popular boys name in the United States, and some parents have chosen to write the name with a "K" instead of "C". The name of the Greek and Latin roots, and can also be found in the Old Testament of the Bible.

Michael is a name that the former has always been one of  the most popular baby names  in America. The name has been mentioned in the Bible, the archangel Michael was only given a name. He had a sharp increase in the 1990s, after the Chicago Bulls star Michael Jordan the player.


Joshua is another old name of the survey that is still popular in the United States. The name is of Hebrew origin, and it is believed that the name of Jesus was Hebrew writing of Joshua. Joshua famous in the United States include "Dawson's Creek" actor Joshua Jackson and actor Josh Hartnett.

The name Ethan is a second with biblical roots to the list of most popular baby names. In Hebrew name meaning "solid". United States means that some parents name Ethan because of a popular character in the soap opera "Passions." Other popular include actor Ethan Ethan Hawke, who shot to fame in the early 1990s, and Tom Cruise character Ethan Hunt from Mission Impossible.

Matthew is again the name of the biblical roots. One of the apostles of Jesus was the name of Matthew, and it is believed that the meaning of "Son of God." The name has become more popular recently due in part to actor Matthew Fox television series "Lost."

Daniel is a Hebrew word meaning "God is my judge." Daniel was a prophet and not the history of the Old Testament. Name has been popular for centuries, some of Daniel's high level of fame.

Christopher is the name, which often varies from the list of ten out, and every few years. Christopher had been mentioned in the Bible and means "where the Christ." Famous are Christopher Columbus, Christopher Walken, and Christopher Reeve.

Andrew is the name of Greek origin, which is also reflected in the Bible. The name literally translates as "man". Andrew's Famous are Andy Warhol, Andrew Lloyd Weber, and Andrew Jackson.

Anthony is a Roman name which has existed for centuries. Nobody really knows where the name comes to popularity, but Anthony was the most famous Cleopatra's lover. Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain Anthony was a famous United States.

William is a name that means strength, and means "protection." The name has its roots in medieval Europe, but became popular in the 12th century. Celebrities are William Shakespeare, the actor William Fichtner, and Prince William.

It is interesting that the the most popular boys names in  US are very traditional, while the most popular girls names are the names that have only recently become popular.
